Appointed Professor in Nursing at Middlesex University in School of Health & Education in January 2014.

I am a research role although I continue to teach on undergraduate programmes including nursing and midwifery. I supervise and teach at M level on mental health nursing and AHP programmes, for example, physiotherapy, counselling.

I am currently working in three main areas:

Newly qualified nurses and their delegation and supervision of assistant workers

Women’s health and infertility

Complaints management experiences of ward staff in acute hospitals.

I’m still interested in discrimination and racism in the health services.
